What you agree to when you make a penguin and play.
Last Updated: October 11, 2026
Welcome to OldCP! OldCP is a fan-made recreation of Club Penguin. It is free to play and is not affiliated with The Walt Disney Company. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") explain what you agree to when you use oldcp.com, the game, the accounts site and our Discord (together, the "Site").
These Terms apply to everyone who visits the Site, makes a penguin or plays the game. By using the Site you agree to these Terms and to the Club Rules. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to read these Terms with you. A parent or guardian who lets a child play agrees to these Terms for that child.
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. THEY SAY WHAT YOU MAY AND MAY NOT DO ON THE SITE AND WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A RULE IS BROKEN.
Your privacy is important to us. To make a penguin we ask for a penguin name, an email address, a password and the month and year you were born. Only the month and year are stored (never the day), and they are never shown to other players.
Some of the chat typed in rooms is saved so the island stays safe. Chat is recorded in the Club Rules explains what is kept, for how long and who can read it.
If you have a question about your information, create a ticket in our Discord.
You need an account to play. To make one you pick a penguin name, give an email address (yours or a parent's), pick the month and year you were born and choose a password. We send an email to check the address is real, and the link in it finishes making your penguin.
The month and year you were born decide which chat settings you can use. Players under 18 get Family-Friendly chat. Your birth month and year cannot be changed later except by staff.
By making a penguin or playing the game you confirm that what you told us is true and that you agree to these Terms.
Everyone on the Site follows the Club Rules. The rules below are part of these Terms.
Do not pretend to be a moderator, a staff member, a famous penguin or another player, and do not use anyone else's login.
Your account is for you alone. Accounts may not be sold, traded or given away.
Everything you type or make on the Site, including chat, penguin names and igloos, must be friendly and suitable for all ages.
Do not use hacks, bots or programs that change the game, do not use bugs on purpose, and do not try to get into the servers or anyone else's account.
The list below gives examples and is not complete. These are never allowed, in every chat setting.
Do not bully, insult or pick fights, and do not push other players to break the rules.
Do not threaten to hurt anyone, even as a joke.
Do not talk about drugs, alcohol or smoking.
Keep upsetting or mature subjects off the island.
Do not follow, pester or target another player after they ask you to stop.
No sexual talk or content of any kind, and no asking a player to move to a private chat somewhere else.
Do not share your real name, address, phone number, school, passwords or social media, and never ask anyone for theirs.
No hateful words or jokes about who someone is or where they are from.
Do not make or use another penguin to get around a mute or a ban.
Do not let anyone else log in to your penguin, and do not log in to theirs.
No advertising, no links meant to trick players, no offers of coins or items, and no repeating the same message over and over.
Do not use odd spelling, spacing or symbols to get a blocked word past the chat filter.
Each player chooses how chat is shown to them: Family-Friendly, Standard or Relaxed. Relaxed is something you switch on yourself after reading a warning about what it shows, and it is not available to players under 18. The prohibited behaviors above are blocked in every setting.
A message that breaks a chat rule is not sent: it turns red on your screen and nobody else sees it. Moderators may warn, mute, kick or ban a penguin for harmful or prohibited behavior, without notice.
Penguin names must be friendly and must not contain personal information, a staff member's name or a famous penguin's name. A moderator checks every new name and may turn it down; until a name is approved, other players see a number name instead. An inappropriate name can lead to a ban.
OldCP is free to play and there is nothing to buy. Coins are earned by playing the games on the island and are counted by the server. No moderator or staff member can give out coins, items, colours or anything else for a penguin. Coins and items have no real-world value and may not be sold or traded for money.
We may change these Terms at any time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the new Terms.
The pages, text and software of the Site are provided for playing OldCP. Please do not copy, republish or redistribute them without written permission from the OldCP team.
You agree to use the Site only through the pages and the game we provide. You may not:
You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done with your penguin. Use a password you do not use anywhere else. Staff will never ask for your password.
If you think someone else has used your account, change your password and create a ticket in our Discord right away.
We may mute, suspend or ban an account that breaks these Terms or the Club Rules. Serious or repeated rule breaking can mean a ban forever. To appeal a ban, see Bans and appeals.
The Site is provided as it is, with no promise that it will always be available or free of mistakes. Penguins, coins, items and progress may be changed, reset or lost. To the extent the law allows, the OldCP team is not responsible for any loss that comes from using, or not being able to use, the Site.
You agree to be responsible for any loss or cost to the OldCP team that is caused by your breaking these Terms.
Questions about these Terms? Create a ticket in our Discord and our team will get back to you.
