What makes an item rare
A few items are given out only once, at their first appearance on Old Club Penguin. When that moment has passed, they are not given out again. They are marked "One-time exclusive" in the catalogue.
If you have one, you keep it
A one-time item you earned stays on your account for good.
When a party comes back
When the island calendar starts again, a party comes back with its decorations and games. Its one-time item does not.
