Club Penguin on your phone or tablet
Old Club Penguin runs in the web browser of your iPhone, iPad or Android phone or tablet, as well as on a computer. There is no app to download. The island opens soon.
Which phones and browsers?
Any up-to-date browser: Safari on iPhone and iPad, Chrome on Android, and Firefox, Edge and the rest on any device. On a computer it works the same way, in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge.
Is there an app?
There is no app to download from an app store, and you do not need one. Add Old Club Penguin to your Home Screen instead and it opens full screen, like an app:
- iPhone and iPad (Safari): tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
- Android (Chrome): open the menu and choose Add to Home screen.
How it plays on a touch screen
- Tap where you want to waddle. Turn your phone sideways for a bigger view; it works upright too.
- Tap the chat bar and your keyboard pops up. The game slides up so you can see what you type.
- Games played with the arrow keys, like Astro Barrier and Thin Ice, get buttons on the screen next to the game.
- Swipe your inventory up or down to scroll through your clothes.
- No sound? Tap the game once: phones only play sound after you touch the screen. Check your phone is not on silent, too.
